Because of the high disposal cost as a waste material and the overall positive features of steel slag, it has been declared a useful construction material, not an industrial waste by most of the developed countries.

Mix designs are determined with replacement proportion of cement by SS of 0, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%. Results show that replacement of cement by SS up to 50% increase the workability of concrete.
